This presentation will focus on using Nebraska law and best practices to inform participants of effective ways to educationally verify reading disabilities. The “Joint Principles of Eligibility for Special Education Under a Specific Learning Disability Classification” is used to guide the presentation. Participants will learn how to use best practices in reading, including the integration of theory, to make practical and meaningful decisions regarding student needs in the area of reading improvement.
