Rhea Hochstein

Following thirty-three years of teaching general and special education, Rhea is a Specialist at the Nebraska Department of Education, Office of Special Education (2018-present). She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Dakota at Vermillion and her Masters in Special Education from Wayne State College. Her work focuses on the improvement of reading instruction for students with reading disorders/dyslexia, including the build-out of the NeMTSS Reading Symposium.  Rhea leads the state-wide Assistive Technology Program, Individual Education Plan Facilitation, Paraeducator Advisory Council, and the revision of the NDE Technical Assistance Guide for Dyslexia among other duties at the State Department.
